Just like everything else the couple did, their first “official” debut was one to remember. The two arrived, hand in hand, at the 2010 Academy Awards red-carpet afterparty. Earlier that evening, Miley confirmed that the two were dating in an interview with E!.

A few weeks after the Oscars, Miley and Liam set out together on the promotional tour for The Last Song. Naturally, this led many to assume that their relationship was nothing more than a publicity stunt meant to raise interest in the film – but Miley insisted that this wasn’t the case, and recalled the first time they met at the Last Song auditions.
